Viewing hyper-local weather in a completely new way

One of the most fun products I’ve worked on — and owned over the years. Elegant weather monitoring that does more than report or forecast: it timelapses your sky every day. Those videos add a 24-hour weather layer and a daily piece of art. Hardware story, branding, photography, web — information as beauty, product delight and utility in one system.

As a solar-home owner, the daily sky was also practical — how much sun did the panels actually get? Analog sky diary and digital time-lapse data UI share the same thesis.

Today's stack for the same hyper-local thesis

Today I’d ship a Figma product UI kit and component library for sky data, campaign photography, and web. Cursor and Claude-class agents would rapid-prototype day/night and alert states; generative assist would explore marketing craft around sky art.

When sensor readouts, alert rules, or brand tokens change, automations fire downstream: app modules, email digests, and social stills stay on-brand. Peers (product, brand, web) connect to the same design engine. Then: hardware + brand + web before modern app design systems were assumed. Now: Figma design system, AI-assisted iteration, dependency automations — same hyper-local thesis, faster loops.
