Women's Democracy Network

Finding balance for new branding with legacy identity

The Women's Democracy Network wanted a new, fresh, identity for public outreach campaigns and 10 year anniversary. They really wanted something bold and exciting, but it needed to jive well with the existing logo and institutional brand.

This meant finding a balance in visual treatments that would retain prestige and integrity and also exist side-by-side with legacy visual assets.

Notice the legacy logo with blue ribbon on gold lettering, and how a contemporary color palette was able to integrate so unexpectedly with the existing identity, bolstered by photography of limitless diversity of color.

This was only the start of the solution that supported on-site events in the Bay Area. Photography efforts were also important and captured the variety of attendees for online promotion.
