The Lower Polk Art Walk went by a few names and styles, but was always a special event for the community. Every first Thursday, 15-20 art galleries, framing shops, and cafe exhibits would open until 10pm and invite the public in to enjoy a night of artistic fun.
This was a surprisingly immense effort, managed by only myself and the late, great, Shell Thomas of the Mayor's Office of Economic and Workforce Development. Everyone who knew Shell admired what a special person he was.
We ran this event together, often wrangling new or complacent galleries into the fold. And through the years I developed several websites and brands to market the event. The shots below are from the matured identity that culminated in the final time period.
